Bettyrae, founder and master colorist of The Do Cut and Color, Dallas's most sought-after hair color salon.

For 25 years she's been a top Dallas colorist and one of Dallas's most trusted color authorities. Color was her first love, and it still is. She never stopped studying it, refining it, and listening to the women in her chair.

She didn't just find a salon home — she built one. The Do Cut and Color is a color-focused salon where every client is treated like a Darling. A little country music playing, a lot of high-level hair color happening — that's Southern Hospitality meets Serious Expertise.

I'm new to Dallas — how do I find a hair salon?

Welcome to Dallas, Darling! Choosing a new hair salon comes down to what matters most to you. If it's your color, look for a hair color specialist, read the reviews, and book a consultation before you commit. At The Do Cut and Color, your first visit starts with a real conversation.

How do I find a new hair stylist after moving to Dallas?

Find one who listens first. Bring your hair history with you — photos of your hair when you loved it most, and anything you remember about your color. Your Team Darling stylist will go over all of it and put together a plan.

Can you match the hair color I had before I moved?

That's exactly where we start. In your consultation we look at your hair, talk about the color you loved and the look you want, and walk you through your real options.

I'm relocating to Dallas — can I book before I move?

You sure can, Darling. Book online and choose "In-Salon Consultation" — it's complimentary and takes about 15 minutes. We'll be ready for you when you get to town.

Will moving to Texas change my hair?

It can — we live it too. Dallas humidity makes hair frizzy, and the Texas sun dries it out and fades your color. Team Darling knows how to work with both: Brazilian Blowout for the frizz, and hair repair treatments for dry, sun-damaged hair.
