Bettyrae, founder and master colorist of The Do Cut and Color, Dallas's most sought-after hair color salon.

For 25 years she's been a top Dallas colorist and one of Dallas's most trusted color authorities. Color was her first love, and it still is. She never stopped studying it, refining it, and listening to the women in her chair.

She didn't just find a salon home — she built one. The Do Cut and Color is a color-focused salon where every client is treated like a Darling. A little country music playing, a lot of high-level hair color happening — that's Southern Hospitality meets Serious Expertise.

But Bettyrae doesn't just create beautiful color — she creates beautiful colorists. "All gifts come from God. I'm grateful for the creativity He put in my hands — and I believe a gift is multiplied when it's given away." Every Darling on her team is hand-picked and trained in Bettyrae's custom color program, so her eye, her formulas, and her standards are in every chair.

We're your neighbors to the north, Darling. The salon is in Preston Center, Dallas, at 6003 Berkshire Lane — off Northwest Highway, between the Dallas North Tollway and Preston Road.

If I live in Highland Park, what's the best way to get to The Do Cut and Color?

Take Preston Road north through University Park — Preston Center is on your left just before Northwest Highway. Prefer the Tollway? Head north, exit at Northwest Highway and head east. We're on Berkshire Lane, directly across the street from JOHN REED Fitness.

Do you do root touch-ups and gray blending?

We sure do, Darling. Team Darling does root touch-ups, gray blending, single process color and hair gloss — and every hair color service is finished with The Famous Darling Blowout.

Do you offer Brazilian Blowout?

We do — it's our favorite answer to Texas frizz. A Brazilian Blowout keeps your hair smooth and manageable for up to 12 weeks, and you can wash and style the same day. Many Darlings book it right after their color visit.

Book online anytime, or call or text us at 214-346-3495. First visit? Choose "In-Salon Consultation" — it's complimentary and takes about 15 minutes. We're open Tuesday through Friday from 9am to 6pm, and Saturday from 9am to 4pm.
